Delicious on its own, or also as substitute for bread. Ideal to be enjoyed with cured meat, cheese and a nice glass of wine or local craft beer.
HOW TO ENJOY:
The oldest Master bakers are the only memory of the origins of this product that, according to some historical records, dates back to the eighteenth century. In some books and in various orders and ancient rural tenders, it is referred to as “Lingue di suocera” (mother-in-law tongues) and occurring during 19th and 20th century. To date there is not an exact historical placement of the origin of this product but we know for sure that its original recipe contains and preserves part of Piedmont’s tradition history in the area stretching from Acqui Terme to Rocchetta Tanaro, in the province of Alessandria.
